Data as a craft

I studied Quantitative Economics at the University of Colorado Boulder, with a focus on econometrics, mathematics, and statistics, with a bit of electrical engineering thrown in for good measure.

I view data analysis as an art. I can run regressions on your data and tell a compelling story, but I'm determined to make that story genuine. Numbers should reveal truth, not manufacture it.

How I got here

After college I started messing around with programming and immediately liked how everything felt like a logical puzzle. It clicked that code was the best way to present statistical ideas to people who weren't going to read a regression table.

I've been a developer in healthcare and health insurance since 2018, helping providers give the best quality care to their patients and helping companies provide better insurance solutions. I love working in healthcare, but I'm open to taking those skills somewhere new.

This site

I built this to do three things at once: document my travels, practice modern React and Next.js, and have something more interesting to show than a PDF résumé. It's a work in progress, with more trips, posts, and data visualizations coming as I go.
