Aruba
One happy island, white sand, and trade winds.

Got on a boat, drank rum punch, did some snorkeling, got back on the boat. The excursion itself didn't particularly matter. Aruba is one of those places where the point is just being there: the water, the weather, the white sand. It consistently ranks as one of the best islands in the Caribbean for a reason. It's a place to stay, not a place to do things.
That said, it's not particularly LGBTQ friendly. We were aware of it and acted accordingly. Worth knowing before you go.
